Our Story

Children’s Court was born out of survival. My name is Phoenix Kai Rising, (Legally - Kai Andrews) and after years of being dragged through the family court system by an abusive ex-partner, I lost everything—except my voice.

I never wanted to go to court. I tried everything to avoid it. But like so many other survivors, I learned the hard way that family court isn’t about justice or children—it’s about power, money, and control.

I watched as judges ignored evidence, attorneys twisted the truth, and our daughter became a pawn in a system designed to profit off conflict. That’s when I realized: we don’t need to reform family court—we need to replace it.

Our Mission

Children’s Court exists to dismantle the corrupt, profit-driven family court system and replace it with a child-centered, community-based model rooted in justice, safety, and truth.

We protect children, empower families, and remove the influence of judges, attorneys, and financial motives—because when the children win, no one loses.

Our Vision

The end of family court. The rise of Children’s Court.

Like the phoenix, from the ashes of family court, we will rise.

We envision a world where children’s rights come before court battles, and justice is led by truth—not attorneys.

In this future, coercive control is exposed, post-separation abuse is eliminated, and no child is ever used as a pawn again.

Our long-term goal is to pass legislation that phases out family court’s jurisdiction over children and replaces it with a restorative, community-rooted system that actually serves children and families.

We call it our Trojan Horse—and it’s already rolling.

At Children's Court, children's rights come first. We protect children and promote their well-being. We work to prevent abuse and neglect, provide support to families in crisis, and ensure that every child has a safe and loving home with hopefully two healthy parents.

My journey as an advocate began with my own custody battle. I did everything I could to stay out of court—but my abusive ex used our daughter and the system itself to keep controlling me. After years of litigation, I lost everything but my voice.

That experience opened my eyes: family court isn’t broken—it’s working exactly as it was designed to. A profit machine that turns children into pawns and punishes survivors.

I believe it’s time to dismantle it entirely and replace it with something better: Children’s Court—a system where the focus is the child, not power, money, or ego.

This isn’t just a vision. It’s a movement.
One that will protect children, empower communities, and bring real accountability to a system that has abused its power for too long.

I am Phoenix Kai Rising—a mother, a survivor, and a fighter.
I’m here to burn the old system down and build something better from the ashes.
